Jasmine + Ricky’s Wanganui Wedding - 1 January 2016

Jasmine, Ricky and their little girl are the loveliest family you could ever hope to meet. And every time we did meet I was always falling about the place laughing, they are just those kind of people that make you feel like you’ve been friend’s forever.

Originally hoping to have their wedding ceremony at the Glen Logie Rose Garden in Wanganui, the devastating floods there last June meant that they weren’t in good condition and they had to find another location. Their lovely friends offered their garden which was a perfect setting and just around the corner from their house. Ricky had suggested that he and his groomsmen were going to ride their bikes to the ceremony. I wasn’t sure if he was joking or not!

It was a beautiful summery day and quite humid. Jasmine was feeling quite nervous but looked so beautiful and composed as she walked down the aisle to the love of her life.

We went to a clifftop near Kai Iwi Beach with the bridal party for some photo’s. We were all so grateful for that sea breeze! With a quick stop at the Bason Botanic Gardens we headed back to the reception at Heritage House which had been beautifully styled and looked amazing. It was also Jasmine’s Nan’s 90th birthday and once everyone had been seated they had very thoughtfully had a beautiful cake made for her which was brought out and everybody sang happy birthday. It was such a surprise and so sweet.

My favourite part of the reception is when everyone starts dancing. I know my flash can be off-putting in the dark but carefully timed with the DJ’s lights, magic can happen ;)

I loved being a part of Jasmine and Ricky’s wedding day so much. They are so clearly in love and raising a wonderful family and will have many, many happy years together.
