Rochelle + Jimmy’s Sydney Wedding - 14 November 2015

I have known Rochelle & Jimmy for a few years now. Rochelle’s sister Rebecca is one of my best friends and we met when my family and I moved to Sydney in 2010. I was delighted to be asked to photograph their wedding, also a little nervous about working with friends but as I’ve come to find out, my couple’s become my friends anyway :)

Rochelle got ready at her family home in Glebe and a stretch Hummer limo arrived to pick the girls up along with the very excited page boys. There was a severe thunderstorm forecast for the night before and their wedding day began with a bit of rain and grey clouds. They made the call to go ahead with the ceremony at Centennial Parklands, it was a risk which paid off with no rain until after the ceremony, yay! There is a series of amusing photo’s of the bridal party when the heavens opened.

The setting at the park was so beautiful with the ceremony arch set up in front of One More Shot Pond. Rochelle looked so beautiful walking down the aisle with her Dad and the sweet little moment where he said into the microphone rather loudly that yes, he was giving her away!

We headed to a quiet spot at the park for some bridal party photo’s before diving out of the downpour and into their limo to take the party to the reception at Clovelly Bowling Club. Perched up high on a clifftop, the perfect place to host a celebration with views for miles around Sydney’s coast. We snuck out of the party with a giant helium balloon for some photo’s on the cliff edge.

Despite the rain, a completely perfect day. Congratulations to Jimmy + Rochelle, wishing you many many years of happiness in married life.
